Acrylic Coated Carbon Blankets with fiberglass fibres are best. These offer the best protection against weld spatter on vehicles.

Fire blankets will provide some protection against sparks but not against welding spatter. Fire blankets are designed to smother a fire. For spatter you need welding blankets.
