INFRA-RED LIGHTS

Infrared lamps are commonly used in bodyshops for the curing of body fillers, undercoats, paints and lacquers.

They work by radiant heating using either short wave or long wave. Short wave is used for curing paints and long wave used primarily for heating large areas such as a room.

Prolonged exposure to short wave Infra red waves can essentially warm you up internally. This effect can be serious on your eyes with prolonged exposure possible heating your eyes up and damaging them.
