Parweld TIG Welder with Pulsed Function TIG and PRO TIG Torch
Our most popular ACDC TIG Set. We have sold many units to alloy wheel repair companies, highlighting its good duty cycle and ease of use.
The Parweld XTT 202P TIG Welder can be used in both AC and DC modes for TIG or MMA welding, allowing the welding of virtually any metal. Square wave AC output and power pulsing maximise productivity whilst reducing heat output.
Most steels can quickly be welded in DC mode using the pulse power function. The AC mode allows the welding of aluminium and magnesium alloys. The square wave output and adjustable frequency maximize the arc energy offering high welding speeds when coupled with the power pulsing function.

WHY BUY FROM BWS?
At BWS we have factory trained welding engineers able to repair down to component level and therefore can offer extra support and technical knowledge above what the manufacturers offers. We support the whole of the UK and have been teaching TIG welding for nearly 30 years so can offer you unrivalled backup. We want you to know that we have your back if anything should go wrong.
Q1 What is the number one TIG welder?
A1: In our opinion the best TIG welder is theFRONIUS IWAVE 300I ACDC TIG MMAas it offers unrivalled functionality coupled with great features that you will actually use day to day such as tack function or tungsten shaping. The build quality is second to non and the support package is for 3 years,
Q2 What Is an ACDC TIG Welder?
A2: An AC/DC TIG welder is a type of welding machine used in the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. TIG welding is a versatile and precise welding method that is commonly used for joining various metals, including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and more. AC/DC TIG welders are particularly versatile because they can provide both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) output for welding.
Q3 What is a DC TIG welder?
A3: A DC TIG welder is a welding machine used in the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process that provides a direct current (DC) output for welding. TIG welding is a versatile and precise welding method commonly used for joining various metals, including steel, stainless steel, and other alloys. DC TIG welders are specifically designed to operate with direct current and are used for welding materials where a steady and controlled heat input is required.
Q4 What is the hardest metal to weld with TIG?
A4: metals that can be challenging to TIG weld include titanium, magnesium, and certain high-alloy steels, primarily due to their unique properties and welding requirements. Welding these materials often requires specialized knowledge and equipment to ensure a successful and high-quality weld.
Q5 Is a TIG weld stronger than a MIG weld?
In terms of raw strength, both TIG and MIG welds can achieve similar levels of strength when performed correctly. The choice between TIG and MIG welding often depends on factors like the material being welded, the desired appearance, the skill level of the welder, and the specific requirements of the project.
It's essential to note that the strength of a weld also relies on proper joint preparation, filler metal selection, welding technique, and post-weld treatments (if necessary). Ultimately, the skill and experience of the welder play a significant role in determining the quality and strength of the weld, regardless of the welding process used.
Q6 What Thickness aluminium will this TIG weld?
A4: That depends on how large the aluminium piece is and wether you want to do it in one run. Being air cooled its limited to how much torch time you can have. Due to the torch getting hot run time is limited but we have repaired many alloy wheels with this weld no problem. The unit can always be water cooled to increase run time and the option of increasing the frequency to 200hz will give better penetration on thicker materials.
