The CROSARC COMBI WELD 200MF is a compact multi-process inverter aimed at general repair and light fabrication work in a bodyshop or workshop. In practice it covers most day-to-day needs: MIG on mild steel, gasless MIG for outside work, plus MMA and usually lift TIG for finer jobs.
In a real workshop it tends to sit as the go-to machine for bench repairs, brackets, jigs and light chassis work. The key is setting it up correctly for the process you’re using: matching wire diameter and gas to material thickness in MIG, and choosing the right rods and amps for MMA. Pay attention to mains supply and extension leads – undervoltage is a common cause of poor arc stability on these inverters.
A frequent issue I see is operators leaving it in synergic settings that don’t match the actual wire or gas, leading to spatter and undercut. Take the time to dial it in and save the settings if possible. Used correctly, it’s a reliable, efficient “all-rounder” that reduces the need to wheel multiple machines around the shop.
