Jasic MIG machines sit in the inverter MIG/MAG category, covering everything from light repair to heavier fabrication. In a bodyshop, I see them used daily for panel welding, small structural sections and general jig and bracket work on mild steel and, where set up correctly, stainless and aluminium.
From a technical point of view, the key is matching the current range and duty cycle to the work. The smaller single‑phase units around 160–200A at roughly 35% duty are fine for typical crash repair and thinner chassis sections, while the 250A and 350A three‑phase machines with higher duty cycles suit continuous welding on thicker sections and jig work. Wire feed stability and correct wire size selection are just as important – a poor feeder setup will cause more problems than lack of amps.
Common issues I see are machines underspecified for continuous production work, or incorrect gas and wire combinations on mixed-material jobs. When sized properly and set up with the right consumables, Jasic MIG units give reliable arcs, sensible running costs and good efficiency for professional bodyshops.
