Engineer Advice
Paul Jones says
In a typical bodyshop, you'll be working under various conditions, so correct setup of the surge protector is crucial. You'll need to connect it directly to the vehicle's battery terminals and ensure it operates within the specified voltage range. Pay particular attention to any indicator lights that may signal an issue with the connection, as this can affect performance.
From my experience, a common mistake is not securing the device properly, which can lead to intermittent connectivity issues. This will not only hinder your repair process but could also result in unexpected faults later.
Overall, using this surge protector enhances reliability during diagnostics and repairs, safeguarding both your equipment and the customer's vehicle. Proper usage translates to greater efficiency and peace of mind in your workshop operations.
