Mark Allen says
This is a heavy-duty, two-stage belt-drive compressor for supplying compressed air across a professional bodyshop or fabrication workshop. In practice, the 500-litre receiver helps support repeated air tool use, blow-gun work and other intermittent demands without the motor starting every few seconds.
The 400V three-phase supply must be correctly installed, with suitable protection and cable sizing. Allow adequate ventilation around the belt guard and pump, as prolonged running generates heat. The cast-cylinder pump and alloy heads are intended to improve heat dissipation, but they still depend on clean intake air, correct oil and regular maintenance.
A common issue is installing a compressor of this size without properly planning the air distribution. Undersized pipework, restrictive couplings or excessive hose length can reduce pressure at the tool, even when the compressor is producing sufficient air. Moisture drainage from the receiver and filters also needs routine attention.
Used with the right pipework, electrical supply and maintenance schedule, it provides a dependable compressed-air source for demanding workshop operation.
