What Our Engineers Say!
Jason says
In practice, techs switch between the warm and cold colour settings to assess both light and dark finishes properly, using the high CRI output to judge whether a repair blends into adjacent panels. The magnetic base and hook mean it can be parked on the car or booth frame, keeping hands free while you work.
A common issue I see is people running it on full output too close to the surface, which creates glare and masks defects. Using the lower output and working at the right distance gives a much truer view.
Set up and used correctly, it’s a reliable little tool that improves inspection quality and reduces rework in modern bodyshops.
