The JOSAM JH1000 is a water-cooled induction heater for controlled heating of larger vehicle and machine parts. In a bodyshop or commercial vehicle workshop, I would use it for loosening seized nuts, bolts, bearings and bushes, or for local heating during chassis straightening, bending and correction work.
The five power settings allow the operator to control heat input rather than relying on an open flame. That matters when working near paint, seals, wiring or other components that should not be heated unnecessarily. The choice of inductor is also important: the correct tip and position help concentrate heat on the target area and avoid wasting energy on surrounding material.
A common issue with induction heating is treating it as a simple replacement for gas. It still needs the right tip, clean contact area and sensible heating time, particularly on thick or heavily corroded steel. The 6-metre hose gives useful reach around trucks and machinery, while the water-cooling system supports repeated workshop use. Used with the correct inductor and setup, it is a dependable way to apply localised heat efficiently and with better control.
