Paul Jones says
The Josam JH1500 is a heavy-duty induction heater for chassis straightening, seized fasteners, axles and large steel components. I would expect to see it in HGV, bus, plant and industrial workshops where gas heating is too slow, difficult to control or unsuitable around adjacent components.
Induction heating allows heat to be concentrated into the required area without an open flame. The five power levels help control the heating rate, while the interchangeable inductor tips are useful when access varies around chassis sections or structural parts. The 400 V three-phase supply and substantial water-cooled system need to be considered before installation, along with suitable ventilation, electrical protection and clear working space.
In practice, operators often try to heat too quickly or use the wrong tip, which can produce uneven heating and unnecessary distortion. Keeping the cooling system maintained is equally important during repeated straightening work.
Used with the correct tip, power setting and heating procedure, the JH1500 provides consistent heat for demanding structural repairs and helps make heavy workshop work more controlled and repeatable.
