Technical Features
- Rugged, ergonomic case and chassis suitable for regular movement around a busy bodyshop or workshop
- Multiprocess capability with both MIG/MAG (GMAW) and MMA (stick) welding modes in a single compact inverter
- Welding engineer mode giving deeper access to parameters for finetuning arc characteristics for specific jobs and procedures
- Consistent MIG performance with dedicated spot welding function for panel work and controlled heat input on thin material
- Simple front panel layout with essential features for straightforward setup, ideal for technicians who need quick, repeatable settings
- Digital display with clear readout of key parameters to make it easy to repeat jobs and record procedure settings
- Digital encoder controls for precise adjustment of voltage, current and wire feed, useful for fine work on thin automotive panels and mixed materials
- Variable inductance control to soften or stiffen the arc, helping to minimise spatter on thin sheet and improve wetting on thicker sections
- 2T/4T trigger modes allowing either standard holdtoweld operation or latched torch control for longer weld runs and reduced operator fatigue
- Gas check function to set and verify gas flow without wasting wire
- Wire inching button to feed wire through a new liner or tip without energising the arc or consuming gas
- Active Balancing Air Passage (ABAP) cooling design to manage internal airflow and protect electronics from dust ingress in workshop environments
- Fanondemand operation to reduce noise, limit dust intake and extend fan life by only running when cooling is required
- Key power electronic component protection designed to improve reliability under regular professional use
- Overcurrent and overheat protection to safeguard the machine from abuse, poor duty cycle management or blocked airflow
- Voltage Reduction Device (VRD) in MMA mode to reduce open circuit voltage when not welding, improving safety especially in damp or confined conditions
- LED work light inside the wire feed cabinet to make it easier to load wire, change rollers and inspect feed components in low light
- Integral accessory storage slot on the machine for keeping tips, shrouds and small spares with the power source
- Accepts D200 (200 mm) wire spools, suitable for common workshop MIG wire sizes without making the machine overly bulky
- Advanced inverter technology providing a stable, responsive arc and reduced power consumption compared with older transformer sets
- Auto sleep mode to power down after periods of inactivity, reducing energy use when the set is left on between jobs
- Quick factory reset function to return parameters to default, useful if multiple operators have adjusted settings
- IP23S ingress protection rating making the unit suitable for typical workshop environments where there may be dust and occasional light moisture
- Supplied with 3 m MIG torch, 3 m earth clamp, argon regulator and gas hose to form a readytoweld package once connected to power and gas
- Designed to run from a 230 V singlephase supply, making it practical for most UK workshops without needing threephase
- Capable of being powered from a suitably specified AVR generator, giving flexibility for mobile work or sites without stable mains power

FAQs
Is the Jasic EVO Power MIG 200 suitable for bodyshop and light fabrication work?
Yes. With a 30–200A MIG range and 0.8–1.0mm wire capability it covers typical bodyshop work from thin automotive panels through to brackets, chassis repairs and general light fabrication. It will also run MMA (stick) up to 180A, which is useful for heavier sections or outside work where gas shielding is difficult.
What power supply does the Jasic EVO Power MIG 200 need in a UK workshop?
It runs on 230V single‑phase with a rated input current of 46A in MIG mode. In practice you should allow for a 32A industrial supply on a suitably rated breaker and correctly sized cable. It can be used from a 13kVA generator as long as the generator has AVR (automatic voltage regulation).
What is included in the Jasic EVO Power MIG 200 package?
The standard package typically includes the Jasic EVO Power MIG 200 power source, 3m MIG torch with Euro connector, 3m earth lead and clamp, argon regulator and gas hose. You just need to add a gas bottle, wire, and the correct plug to suit your workshop supply. BWS can supply these, plus any torch spares or genuine Jasic parts you need.
How heavy is the unit and is it practical to move around the workshop?
The machine weighs around 14.7kg and is compact at approximately 565 × 220 × 415mm. It is easily portable for moving between bays or jobs, and works well on a small welding trolley with gas bottle if you want a more permanent mobile setup. The IP23S rating also gives reasonable protection against workshop dust and occasional splashes.
