This is a compact air plasma cutter for general metal cutting in the bodyshop or fabrication bay. In practice I see it used for trimming brackets, chassis sections, crash repairs, and general fabrication on mild steel, stainless and aluminium where a grinder is too slow or messy.

The unit is light enough to move between bays, but it still needs a clean, dry air supply and a proper electrical circuit, especially if you want to take advantage of the higher output on 240 V. FineCut style consumables make a noticeable difference on thin panel work, reducing dross and heat input on 1–3 mm material.

A common issue is operators running it on undersized power circuits or wet air, then blaming the machine for poor cut quality and consumable life. Correct air pressure and realistic expectations on thickness and travel speed are key.

Set up properly, it’s a reliable way to get clean, accurate cuts with less rework, provided the workshop respects its duty cycle and keeps the consumables and air supply in good condition.
