FAQs

What materials can the GYS Autopulse 220-M1 weld?
It welds mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium up to 6mm thick. Use 0.8mm wire for thin body panels, 1.0mm for structural work. Matches most bodyshop jobs from dent pulling to fab repairs.
Does it need three-phase power?
No, single-phase 230V is enough. Draws 30A fused supply, standard for UK workshops. No need for phase converters like on bigger kits.
Is pulse mode essential for bodyshop use?
Yes for clean finishes on galvanised or thin steel – less spatter means less grinding post-weld. AutoPulse handles it without fiddling settings mid-job.
What consumables does it take?
Standard Binzel torch tips and Euro torch connector. BWS stocks genuine GYS liners, rollers and drive parts for quick swap-outs. Gas mix: Ar/CO2 for steel, pure argon for alloy.
