Engineer Advice
Dan Jennings says
When setting up, it’s important to check the load range; these balancers are rated for weights between 4 to 25 kg. Ensure that the suspension and mounting points are adequately secured to handle various materials, especially when working with aluminium or composites. Adjusting the tension correctly is crucial to avoid strain and wear, which can lead to malfunction.
One common issue I've noticed is operators sometimes miscalculate the weight distribution when attaching components, leading to an imbalance that can compromise the repair process. Regular checks and maintenance of these units can prevent such problems and ensure reliable performance.
In conclusion, when used correctly, zero gravity balancers greatly enhance efficiency and accuracy, making them a worthwhile investment for any workshop focused on quality body repair.
