A 270L 7.5hp compressor like this is a proper workshop machine for steady air demand in bodyshops and repair bays. I would use it for air-fed tools, blow-off, tyre work, and general pneumatic equipment where a smaller unit would cycle too often and struggle to keep up.
In practice, the main point is matching the compressor to the shop supply and the air use. A 400V three-phase motor is the right choice for regular professional work, but it needs a suitable electrical installation and enough supply capacity. The 270 litre receiver gives a useful buffer, yet the pump still has to be sized correctly for the tools being run, especially if the workshop uses multiple air users at once.
From experience, the common issue is not the compressor itself but poor setup: undersized pipework, long hose runs, or neglected draining of condensate. That soon affects pressure at the tool and can lead to unnecessary wear.
Set up and maintained properly, this type of compressor is reliable, practical, and a sensible fit for continuous workshop use.
