This is a nitrogen plastic repair kit with an integrated hot stapler for welding filler material onto automotive plastics. I'm Jason Bowes, BWS Sales Director. In a bodyshop I use it to close cracks, rebuild missing sections and embed staples as internal reinforcement before finishing with a roller, scraper and sanding. Key technical points are consistent nitrogen supply and matching filler material to the substrate: the tool heats plastic with nitrogen to limit oxidation, so a regulator and secure gas connection are essential, and most repair strips provided are polypropylene so confirm substrate marking before use. Control of nozzle distance and temperature matters – keep the gun roughly 1.5 cm from the work and avoid direct nozzle contact to prevent local overheating. A common issue is poor penetration when operators move the strip too fast or fail to use the roller while material is warm. When set up correctly and used with appropriate consumables the kit is a dependable method for routine plastic repairs.
