Engineer Advice
Paul Jones says
In day-to-day use, the key point is load planning. The MOSA unit is rated around 11.5 kVA three-phase with roughly 6 kVA available on single-phase, so you need to think about how your welders, heaters and chargers share that capacity. Voltage regulation via AVR is good enough for most bodyshop electronics, but I still avoid running sensitive diagnostic kit at the same time as heavy motor loads.
A common issue I see is overloading one phase with single-phase equipment, leading to nuisance trips and poor performance. Correct cabling, earthing, and regular checks on fuel, oil and filters make a big difference.
Used correctly and not treated as an unlimited power source, this generator is a reliable way to keep core workshop equipment running efficiently.
