This is a professional air plasma cutting system suited to workshops handling regular fabrication, chassis work and general steel cutting rather than occasional DIY use. As Sales Director at BWS, I see it fitting well into fabrication bays where you need consistent cuts on mild steel up to around the 20 mm recommended range, plus gouging for weld removal and prep.
In day-to-day use, it works either as a handheld unit for freehand cutting and trimming, or paired with a table/CNC for repeat parts. The SYNC cartridge system and SmartSYNC torches simplify setup, but you still need clean, dry air or nitrogen and correct inlet pressure, otherwise cut quality and consumable life drop off quickly.
A common issue I see is operators overdriving on dirty, painted or poorly earthed material, then blaming the machine for poor edge quality. Good prep, correct amperage selection and appropriate cartridges matter.
Used correctly, this type of plasma system is a reliable, efficient way to process steel in a modern workshop, reducing grind time and helping maintain throughput without constant adjustment.
