In practice it runs with gas protection, uses aluminium or steel keys and can weld studs up to Ø6 mm; the kit includes an automatic gun with two ground electrodes, an aluminium keys consumables box (1.5 mm) and a lifting rod. Key technical considerations are correct setup of the digital linear‑motor gun and reliable earth contact via the independently adjustable ground electrodes, and feeding the correct key type for the alloy being repaired. A common issue I see is poor contact or dirty paint at the weld point, which gives unstable cycles and failed pulls; pre‑cleaning and checking electrode adjustment cure most problems.
