The TransSteel 3000c Pulsed is a multiprocess inverter source covering MIG/MAG (including pulsed and synergic), TIG and MMA, with an integrated wire feeder in a compact chassis. It is designed for manual trade and industrial work on classical steel and galvanised sheet, and with the pulse programs it will also handle stainless, aluminium and MIG brazing wires for bodyshop and fabrication work. In practice it suits automotive repair, general fabrication, construction steelwork and workshop maintenance where you need one machine to cover most jobs.
What power supply and duty cycle does the TransSteel 3000c Pulsed require in a professional workshop?
This machine is built for three‑phase mains, typically 380–400 V (415 V in the UK) and draws around 11–12 kVA at full load, so you should allow a 32 A three‑phase circuit in a bodyshop or fabrication shop. The welding current range is roughly 10–300 A across MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA, with around 300 A at 40% duty cycle and approximately 240 A at 100% duty cycle, which is enough for sustained production welding on heavier sections without thermal trips when correctly installed.
Is the pulse function useful for bodyshop and fabrication work, or is it only for specialised applications?

The power source is supplied as standard with the Fronius system connector and matching MTG air‑cooled torch, but it can also be configured to use a Euro‑connection torch if your workshop already runs Binzel‑type guns. Wire feed rolls for 0.9/1.0 mm wires are typical, covering most steel and stainless applications, and standard contact tips, gas nozzles and liners for Fronius or Euro guns can be used.
