Engineer Advice
Paul Jones says
From my point of view, the important technical points are the integrated fan and filtration section and the size of the working area. The unit has a 2 m class work surface and uses staged filtration with a spark‑trap style pre‑filter and an F7 pocket filter, so it’s suitable for mixed processes on steel, aluminium and general fabrication work, provided you stay within sensible duty cycles.
A common issue I see is poor positioning and overloading – operators pile parts and jigs on, blocking the suction slots, then complain about performance. Keep the surface clear, maintain the filters, and match the tasks to its capacity. Used properly, it’s a reliable way to improve fume control and housekeeping around bench work.
