It is a true multi-process inverter set: MIG/MAG, MMA (stick) and TIG AC/DC with HF and lift start. That means you can handle general steel fabrication and body repairs in MIG, structural and site work with 1.6–4.0 mm electrodes in MMA, and full DC and AC TIG work for stainless and aluminium, including more delicate alloy jobs such as intercoolers, casings and body panels.
Is the COMBI WELD 200MF PRO suitable for aluminium welding in a bodyshop?
Yes. It has AC/DC TIG with AC frequency and AC balance control plus pulse function, so you can set it up correctly for aluminium. For bodyshop use it will comfortably handle alloy body panels, brackets and repair sections. Just pair it with pure argon, appropriate tungsten and a suitable TIG torch set-up. The supplied Parker DGT26FX-12 torch is already matched to the machine for this type of work.
What power supply and duty cycle does this machine need in a professional workshop?
It runs on single‑phase 230 V (±15 %) 50/60 Hz with a 16 A input current and is supplied with a 16 A plug. At 40 °C ambient it delivers 200 A at 50% duty cycle on MIG, TIG and MMA, which is realistic for UK workshop conditions. For consistent performance, we recommend a dedicated 16 A supply, especially if you intend to run at the upper end of the 40–200 A MIG range for longer welds.
What does the standard package include and what wire sizes and reels can it take?
As standard you get the Combi Weld 200MF PRO power source on trolley, 4 m M2 MIG torch, Parker DGT26FX-12 TIG torch, earth return lead and clamp, 3 m MMA lead, gas hose, foot pedal and a 16 A plug. The 4‑roll feeder will run 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 mm MIG wire and accepts both 5 kg and 15 kg spools, which suits most general fabrication and bodyshop work. This keeps consumables standard and easy to source from BWS and other trade suppliers.
