This is a compact plasma cutter with an integrated compressor, aimed at light to medium cutting work where you don’t want the hassle of a separate air supply. In a typical bodyshop it’s used for trimming brackets, cutting out corroded sections, and general fabrication on mild steel and similar materials.
Because the compressor is onboard, you’re not reliant on workshop air quality, but you still need to think about duty cycle and mains supply. These units don’t like long continuous cuts on thick material; plan your work in shorter bursts and let it cool. Torch lead condition and good work clamp contact are also critical – most cutting issues we see are down to poor earth or worn consumables, not the machine itself.
One recurring mistake is treating it like an oxy-fuel set and trying to cut dirty, painted, or heavily undersealed panels. Clean back to bright metal and it performs far better. Used within its thickness range and kept maintained, it’s a reliable, portable solution that speeds up everyday cutting jobs.
