The Josam JH400 is a compact induction heater for controlled, localised heating in bodyshops and general workshops. I use this type of equipment for loosening seized nuts, pins and clamping rings, supporting wheel alignment work, and straightening sheet metal without an open flame.
The five-stage power control is important because different materials and thicknesses need different heat input. The JH400 is suited to lighter repair work and uses interchangeable tips to reach awkward areas. Its water-cooled system also needs correct maintenance; use the specified distilled water and keep the cooling circuit clean.
A common mistake is applying maximum power for too long. That can overheat the workpiece or transfer heat into nearby components, even though induction is more localised than a gas torch. I always check surrounding materials, access and the required heating time before starting.
Used with the correct tip and power setting, the JH400 is a reliable workshop tool for fast, flameless heating and controlled repair work.
