Spot Welding Electrodes
Engineer Advice
Paul Jones says
Spot welding electrodes are a critical part of achieving consistent, high-quality welds in any automotive bodyshop. The condition, material and correct fitment of the electrode directly affect weld strength, penetration and overall repair quality, particularly when working on modern high-strength steels.
We carry a comprehensive range of spot welding electrodes to suit virtually every make and model of spot welder used in today’s workshop environment, whether new or legacy equipment. From systems such as GYS, Telwin and ARO through to Car-O-Liner, Elmatec and GT Invertaspot, we can supply the correct electrodes to match your machine and application.
In practice, using the correct electrode profile and material ensures proper contact, consistent current flow and reduced wear. Worn or incorrect electrodes are one of the most common causes of poor weld quality and repeat work.
From experience, keeping the right electrodes in stock and replacing them at the correct intervals makes a noticeable difference to both weld performance and efficiency in the workshop.
