PARWELD PRO+ECO-GRIP 150 TORCH

Parweld’s Pro Eco-Grip 150 torch is a solid choice for light to medium MIG work in professional bodyshops and fabrication bays. Rated around 150A with mixed gas and using MB15/BZL-type consumables, it’s well suited to 0.6–1.0 mm wire on typical car body and general repair jobs. When selecting, match the duty cycle to your welder output and job length, and choose the correct lead length for your bay layout to avoid cable strain. Engineer Advice

Dan Jennings

Dan Jennings says

This is an air‑cooled MIG torch in the 150 A class, typically supplied in MB15 / BZL pattern with a Euro connector, taking standard Binzel‑type consumables. In a bodyshop or fabrication workshop it will be used on light to medium gauge steel work, running 0.6–1.0 mm wire for panel repair, brackets, and general chassis work, usually in short‑arc transfer on mixed gas or CO2.

Key considerations are matching the torch rating to the machine output and duty cycle, and keeping to the correct wire size range so the liner and contact tip can control feed properly. Compatibility with standard MB15 spares is useful in a busy shop, as tips, nozzles and diffusers are easy to source.

A common issue I see is torches being run too hot for too long, leading to cooked liners and erratic wire feed, often blamed on the welder rather than the torch. Used within its rating, with decent consumables and regular liner changes, this style of torch is reliable and efficient for everyday bodyshop work.
