GPR-Glue Pulling Tabs
Engineer Advice
Jason says
Glue-pulling tabs are adhesive fittings used to remove dents with paintless dent repair methods. I’m Jason Bowes, Sales Director at BWS, and I use them day-to-day when specifying consumables for bodyshops. In practice you attach a tab to a prepared panel using a hot-glue system, then pull with a slide hammer or hydraulic lifter to restore metal shape without drilling. The two key technical considerations are adhesive bond and tab geometry: the glue must be compatible with the paint and applied to a clean, dry surface, and the tab profile must suit the dent size and access angle to avoid concentrating stress. A common issue I see is poor surface prep leading to glue failure, or using too large a tab which lifts paint or distorts surrounding metal. Used correctly, quality tabs give a reliable, repeatable method for controlled pulling and can reduce rework when combined with correct glue and pulling technique.
