This is a single-phase AC/DC TIG and MMA welding inverter for controlled work on steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and titanium. In a bodyshop or fabrication workshop, it is suited to repair sections, brackets, panels and smaller fabricated components where arc control and a clean finish matter.

AC mode is required for aluminium, with balance and frequency settings used to manage oxide cleaning and penetration. DC mode covers steel and stainless work. Correct tungsten preparation, shielding gas flow and a clean earth connection are important, particularly on aluminium where contamination quickly affects arc stability. The machine offers HF or lift ignition, pulse control, slope adjustment and 2T/4T operation, so settings can be matched to thin material and longer welds.

A common issue I see is poor gas coverage caused by leaks, excessive flow or an incorrectly sized cup, rather than a fault with the welder. The 230 V supply and 16 A connection also need checking before sustained use. Set up correctly, it provides dependable control for varied workshop TIG work, with sensible results from a compact professional machine.
