Technomig 240 Wave is a multiprocess inverter welding machine (MIG-MAG/FLUX/TIG/MMA) with a Wave OS operating system. This makes it quick and simple to select the correct synergic welding parameter for the job.
Its main feature though is the MIG Pulse function. Ideal for aluminium and easy to use it gives professional welding in a compact form.
TOTALLY MOBILE
Weighing 24Kg its not light but the handle is really sturdy and its slim design means it can be comfortably carried to your place of work. Lift Arc TIG functions and MMA operation make this the ideal engineering and maintenance machine.
Steel, Aluminium and MIG Braze functions also make this machine ideal for vehicle bodywork and garages.
EASY USE
Telwin has introduced a new Synergic programme system called "WAVE OS".
This programme software makes it easier for the welder/operator to choose the best synergic setting for their job. The LCD graphic is clear with a very neat symbol of a fillet weld and torch showing when you adjust the setting the filled having less wire fill and/or more wire fill.
Everything is controlled by the centre knob control, simply turn the knob to the desired setting that you want to adjust and press to highlight the setting. In BASIC mode you have three settings displayed, Wire Speed, Material Thickness, and Trim.
Simply select your metal thickness to what you are welding and ensure the trim is on zero and carry out a test weld. If you feel you need more wire then select the TRIM and adjust plus or minus until you get your desired outcome. Press the knob to set. Its that easy!
I found the settings to be pretty good but I still needed to adjust slightly, the settings were originally programmed at the Telwin factory and set by a professional welder with his desired settings and his wire and gas. This might be slightly different from what you use, hence the need to adjust. Programmed into the welder is a complete set of 57 synergic, preset programs for all types of materials.
As well as the Synergic settings we all have more advanced features such as:
AB Pulse + AB PoP for Pulse and Double Pulse welding on aluminium and galvanised sheets metal.
The essentially means that the weld will make and break as you move along the joint. This weld and brake action creates the penny stacking effect that you see on a lot of aluminium tankers and trailers welds. Its a hot/cold technique and so enables you to weld thinner materials such as aluminium car body panels easily
ATC for welding on thin thicknesses thanks to advanced control of the arc, its designed for the car body repair industry to enable easier welding of thin car body panels. The ATC setting due to the low voltages use does sound differently from a normal setting as the arc is more tightly controlled. This can confuse welders into thinking it not correct and turning the set up higher until the arc sounds like what they are use too.
CUSTOMISATION
Create and save your welding settings thanks to the EXPERT mode.
WELDING DATA MANAGEMENT
Welding session recording for monitoring the quality and productivity of processing via USB and data analysis with WDM software.
VERSATILITY
Ideal for the most wide-ranging types of applications and materials:
- multiprocess MIG-MAG/MMA/TIG;
- single-phase (16A plug) power supply to grant a flexible use in any environment;
- VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) to increase operator safety;
- possible use of Push-pull torch.
PORTABILITY
A compact and easy-to-carry product, allowing work anywhere with it.
MT25 CONTROL TORCH (OPTIONAL)
The MT25 Control torch offers the possibility of adjusting the current directly on the handle during welding, thus avoiding any process interruption.
