Thermoplastic welding rods are widely used in the automotive industry for such things as car bumpers and motorcycle parts. Ideal for use with Hot Air Plastic Welders and Nitrogen Plastic Welders.
IDENTIFICATION
Most manufacturers have a code on the bumper or part to help identify the plastics used. If no identification is present, then carry out a short weld test. If the repair sticks when fully cold, you have a suitable match.
