Your technicians can now do all the AOM 030 and AOM 009 panel testing on site in familiar surroundings, with the equipment they use every day. The test will cover the technician for both ATA & PAS 125 (BS10125) requirements. It is also applicable for bonding test requirements.
Should the technician be required to do the AOM-006 Complex Met this is just a 2-hour practical test and avoids expensive days away from the site, hotels bills etc.
WHAT'S INVOLVED
The module requires the partial replacement of a welded sill section. Using a simulated sill the candidate will replace part of the section without damaging the inner strengthener. Then using MAG /MIG BRAZE/ BOND and RIVET equipment to replace the section, to a tolerance of less than 2mm ready to accept filler.
The test has a time control of 4.5 hours for completion.
Once completed satisfactorily a simple 10
question online test is required to complete the module.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The senior technician should be working in the accident repair sector of the industry and have at least three years experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to repair & replace body components, including returning vehicle alignment to manufacturer specification and rectifying body shell faults.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
A set area is required for the test with welding curtains to protect the rest of the workshop users. A serviced MAG Welder, MIG Braze and Inverter Spot Welder.
Each Engineer requires there own hand tools including air saw, belt sander, hammer, chisels etc.
Drill bits, bonding material rivet tool and rivets are supplied. Spare Welding gases are also available.
